This is an extreme theory, so I may choose according to the situation, but basically I think so.
The ellipse is the second most popular shape after the square, rectangle, and perfect circle. A little more playful and more emotional than a perfect circle. It is a stylish advanced shape that you want to get after knowing the basic shape.

Beautiful dull gold color of brass. The diamond shape is very beautiful. Playing card rhombus, traditional argyle pattern.
By the way, I don't think diamonds are often seen in everyday tools. Circles and squares are easy to make, but rhombuses seem to take a lot of time because the angles of the sides are special. I think the production efficiency is bad. Therefore, there are few opportunities to be adopted for design.
That's why it has an elegance that a perfect circle or square doesn't have. Just being alone gives off a sense of presence.
